1. Approving a Question = Saving to Knowledge Base

When you click Approve, Vera immediately adds that answer to your Past Answers, which are part of your knowledge base.

You can also bulk-select multiple questions and click Mark all as approved - all approved answers are saved automatically.

2. Save Without Approving

If you're not ready to approve a question but still want to save the answer to your knowledge base, click Save to Past Answers.

This keeps the answer available for future questionnaires without marking it as approved.

3. View Your Past Answers

To view all saved answers:

  • Go to Sources > Past Answers

  • This is your single source of truth used by the AI when generating responses

If a new document contradicts a saved answer, Vera will automatically flag it for review.

4. Managing Past Answer Scope

You can control which saved answers the AI uses:

  • Click Remove from AI Assistant scope to exclude an answer from future references

  • Click again to re-add it when it becomes relevant

By following this guide, you'll be well-equipped to upload documents to Vera's knowledge base effectively.
